Epoxy Adhesive Features

1. High-strength. General epoxy resin structure containing hydroxyl, ether bond makes it have high adhesiveness, due to these polar groups, it can make the adjacent interface to generate electromagnetic force, less in the curing process, with the curing agent . The chemical action can further generate the radical and the ether bond, which not only has a high cohesive force but also generates a strong adhesion force. Therefore, the epoxy Adhesive is different from many kinds of materials which has a strong bonding strength, commonly known as "all-purpose adhesive." 

2. Low shrinkage. Epoxy has a tight molecular arrangement, does not precipitate low molecular weights during the curing process, and it can be formulated as a solvent-free adhesive, so its shrinkage is generally low. If the filler is selected, the shrinkage rate can be reduced to 0.1-0.2%. 

3. Strong corrosion resistance. The presence of a stable benzene ring, ether chain, and dense structure after curing , so it can be used in many harsh environments. 

4. Process performance is good . According to the type of curing agent chosen, epoxy adhesive can be cured at room temperature, medium temperature or high temperature, respectively. Generally only need to contact the pressure of 0.1 ~ 0.5MPa, most of the epoxy resin adhesive does not contain solvents, easy to operate. General epoxy adhesive construction viscosity and curing speed can be adjusted through recipes to meet various requirements. This not only makes it easy to ensure the bonding quality but also simplifies the curing process and equipment. 

5. Good electrical insulation performance. After the epoxy resin is cured, good electrical insulation performance can be obtained: Breakdown voltage>35kV/mm Volume resistance>1015Ω.cm Dielectric constant 3～4(50Hz) Arc resistance 100～140 s 

6. Adaptability Performance. Epoxy adhesives change their composition (curing agents, tougheners, fillers, etc.) to obtain a range of adhesive formulations with different properties to suit a variety of different needs, as well as many modifiers such as phenolic greases. , Cyanide rubber, etc.) mixed to produce a variety of different performance varieties. 

7. High heat resistance and low water absorption. The use temperature of bisphenol A epoxy resin from -60 to 175°C sometimes reaches 200°C for a short period of time. If a new epoxy resin with high or low temperature is used, the operating temperature can be even higher. .
